M-commerce site mShopper hires Skinner to lead engineering and operations
BOULDER, Colo., May 12, 2008 /PRNewswire/ - Mobile shopping portal mShopper has named Dave Skinner senior vice president of engineering and operations. He is charged with leading the company's product management, engineering, operations and customer service areas.
Previously Skinner was vice president of engineering at LeftHand Networks, then an early-stage storage systems start-up. While at LeftHand, he initiated major changes in engineering processes and organization that resulted in shorter product release cycles, higher product quality and enhanced customer satisfaction, mShopper says. Before LeftHand, Skinner was a senior architect at Sun Microsystems after it acquired Redcape Software, where he was co-founder and chief technology officer. In previous positions he served as chief technology officer at Fujitsu ASG and held senior engineering and management positions at StorageTek. "With Dave's wealth of experience, he will help us to continue fostering a lasting culture of excellence, in addition to enhancing our operations," says mShopper founder and CEO David Gould.
